GEGER MENJANGAN CITY PARK


Geger Menjangan City Park is a city park located in Baledono, Purworejo, Central Java. It is about 900 metres square. It is the second city park in Purworejo after the W.R. Supratman City Park. Geger Menjangan City Park was inaugurated on 16 January 2014 by the regent of Purworejo of that time, Dr. H. Mahsun Zain, M.Ag. The park is divided by a large black wall into two sides, the front side and the back side.
Entrance
At the front side of Geger Menjangan City Park, there are a parking lot, an entrance and exit, a children playground, a fountain, a security post, a restroom, some trash bins, and a solar panel. There are many small trees at the front side. The parking lot is rather large, about 30 metres in length and 3 metres in width. The parking lot is divided by a path to the gate. The left side is specially designed for bicycles and motorcycles, and the right side is for cars. The solar panel is located at the edge of parking lot. The entrance is black and green. On the top of it, there are letters read as “RTH PURWOREJO”. On the left after the entrance, there are the security post, the restroom, and some bench to sit. The restroom is divided into two, for men and women. On the right side after the entrance, there are the children playground and the fountain. At the children playground, there are swings, seesaw, slide, and others. There are some stepping stones, too. The fountain is on the north of the playground. There are fish in it.

At the back side of Geger Menjangan City Park, there are some gazebos, some long benches, two large slabs, a garden, and some trash bins. There a four gazebos with a table and four chairs each. The long benches are made of concrete and the height are different. In the garden, there are many plants. The plants are still small. There are many plants along the pathway, too.
